The Muse: Slytherin

Tell me you never thought about what house you would be in if you went to Hogwarts. That's right, we all did. I always felt bad for the innocent kids in Slytherin, not the baddies, we all hated them. But the nameless Slytherin's that got lumped in with them.  Besides Voldemort was a zealot but he did have himself quite an organization with cool communicating tattoos and glittering green fireworks in the sky whenever they were up to no good. Evil or not, the man had style. That being said, and despite that fact that green is my favorite color, I probably would have leaned towards Ravenclaw. The were the dark horses of the Harry Potter world, you never knew quite where they stood, some went dark, other's didn't, but they were all clever. While I may not have ben in Slytherin, I have no problem with a little aqua snakeskin and a nice reptile brooch, as an homage, of course. I even found myself a nice long cloister to take my photos in, since the real Hogwarts wasn't available (though I have seen several of the filming sites over in England and Scotland).

  1. Love your little salamander pin! And the ruffles on your blouse are the perfect touch (oh, and the skirt...love that color, love that print).

What perfectly red toenails you have. I'm jealous...I lost the nail off my big toe this spring. It's taking awhile to come back to me. (=

  2. Thank you! The color is Red Hot Ayers Rock by OPI (obviously part of their Australian collection) its actually more of a hot pink than red, but I like that it goes with either color. Sorry about your toenail, my nails on my little toes are so small that I usually just paint a dot of nail polish onto my skin because the nail is too small to paint!

    1. I know Tara! I'm all about the brooches (and they're brooches not pins, that drives me nuts!). This blouse is also one of my favorites, its a nice alternative to a button up. I'm actually wearing this blouse in the photo thats on my blog card that I hand out (I have three different photos, but its one of the three) because I love how the ruffles look. Thanks for always having us!
